Dear Sir,
My Wife has had very
little fever for the last day or
two - & her cough is not often
troublesome. Her appetite is
good - & she has slept better un-
til last. The pectoral mixture
which you sent last was out
yesterday - & possibly she might
not rest so well last night
in consequence of not taking
as much pareqoric in the mix
ture first prepared. Her restless=
ness seems now principally owing
to the pressure upon the part
which is chafed - That continues
-
very sore, & considerably inflamed.
She will not lie upon her side
enough to suffer the sore to heal.
The swelling subsides slowly.
Her nerves are not so much af=
fected. She complains that the
Tinct: Nicker is fiery to her
tongue - but it certainly has
I think been very serviceable
to her. On the whole we think
her considerably better.
We have still some of the Pectoral
mixture first prepared - should
you deem it proper to use the
mixture last sent - please send
some.
