May the 29th 1825 Sir
As Richard did not deliver my message correctly I had
better write. I was just recovering from an attack of my old complaint
which had left me in a very weak state, I was threaten with a
griping, & had nothing to take for it, it continued but a short time,
I took a little exercise, but suppose too much, as the old complaint
returned yesterday with much more violence, I had as much
fever yesterday as the 3 or 4 first days, I had hoped I was geting
better as I had kept well 6 weeks, just before I was taken I had
a bad griping which was removed by a seidlitz powder,
The medicine in the vial has been [ou]t some time, but expecting
to go to town myself I did not send in. I have a plenty of that in
the box, Mr Hill is not a home or he would write, I amwith respect &C.
Ann Hill
