Dear Sir

Mrs. Levering is suffering very
much with a sore mouth from being sal
ivated with Calomel - Last sunday week
she took 17 Gr and the day folowing a dose
of Glauber's Salts. The Calomel did not [unclear]
untill the salts were taken. Mrs. L's mouth
has been so sore that she cannot take any
nourishment and is now suffering for want of
it. She has used nothing but washes as milk
and makes Elm Bark and life everlasting tea
with a small quantity of Alum. Two Clysters
have been administered which operated freely

It will confer an obligation on
us if you will advise something that will
relieve her. She cannot take any thing but of
the mildest character.
