Gentlemen
Having waited some time in expectation
of finding a vessel direct to Fredericksburg & without
success, I have thought it best to forward the
parcel via Baltimore, which has been done
to day. I shall take the liberty of drawing on
you in favour of Messrs. Allen at 10 days after
sight; this I am obliged to do, as the
London Booksellers have for some time past
come to a resolution to deal with this country
