Gentlemen

My mother now in her 84 y [ear]
and living upon my plantation in Hano [ver]
has for some time been troubled with
a fit of Coughing upon her waking of a
morning. By a letter recei'd from there
yesterday, I learn that her Cough has beco [me]
more troublesome. -

I intend to send Charles over
in a day or two, and desire that you will
prescribe & send by him, whatever you think will
alleviate her Cough, for this is all we Can
expect to do: it is hardly necessary to add
that she is in very delicate Health Generally.-

Respectfully yours

Wm. Richardson
