Dear Sir

I avail myself of this opportunity
to inform you that my Wife is infinitely worse
than when you were here last, the powder which
we gave her in conformity to your directions, did
not operate until she had taken Six Spoonfull
of oil and even then did not operate without
the aid of Two injections, the first evacuation
took place about 3 oclock [unclear] day Dr
French was here yesterday directed a
suspension of the powders if [she] could sleep with
=out we have not given them since the first
she has been in a sleeped or slumbering
situation generally since you were here
and is very languid her fever to day seems to
be high she had after the evacuations commenced
2 or 3 excessive ones and 2 slight ones to day
I have sent for Dr French I expect him
this evening we are [at] this time doing nothing
for her except the application of blister to
the head which has never been suspended
please come and see her as I am anxious
that she should have every opportunity of
skill and attention possible to my exertions

Mrs Span cee is with her still

Geo. W. Truce
