Dear Doctors
My Daughter Mrs Slaughter
is again very ill after having had
twelve very severe fits she is entirely
deranged and has not closed her
eyes for sleep for two nights she is not
sensible of any pain but from her extreem
restlessness she must suffer a great
deal she is continually using he hands
and feet and at times her whole frame
is agitated he has not had a fit
since thursday night will you be so
kind as to send me something to
releive her she freequently that is
twice every month has fits but she
gets over them with out that derange
ment of mind which she is now in
she now requires some gentle cathar
tic and after one of these attacks she
is much exhausted she is also very
-
weak at the commencement of he attac [ks]
but after he fits leave her she appears
to have supernatural strength with
apparently the most emaciated frame
I ever saw I am sorry to be so trouble
some to you but my distresses in this
life are so great that they are indis
cribable and I hope in time to be able
to return your kindness will you men
tion on your account against my family
who the medicine and directions we
get from you are for [individually] . I am with
great regard your friend
