we have strictly followed. and
thought it had a good effect.
but to day about 11 O clock he was
taken with a pain in the stomack
and then a most severe ague which
lasted more than an hour attend
=ed with considerable pain in the
knees back and [attendwith sick stomack & puking] hips. he has now
high fever and pain in the headYou will please direct what
you think best for him - - - -yours

Papa's fever went off and
he rested well. is now free from pain
he think's an emetic would be proper
for him, and regrets not haveing
taken it yesterday. he look's very

bilious. and says he shall not get
well untill he does take it - -
