Salem

Dr Sir,

My wife was very [rest]
less during part of the [unclear]
-though I did not think her pain
was so great as it has been here
before. She is without fever, & seems
to be tolerably easy to day. & dis=
posed to sleep. The discharge from
her bowels by an injection given her
to day, has been more copious than
for some time past, & more natural.
The swelling is not so tight as it
was yesterday She is very feeble,
partly, as I suppose, from not sleep=
ing last night. her pulse is lower
than when you saw her & I sup=
pose it is the more necessary for
her to use wine freely.

Yours Respectfully

AM Lewis
