Doctor Carmichael & Son.

I can't pay that note
of Keerls, I am totally disappointed
in money, I expected to collect. -
I do not suppose that the Keerls
would desire to have it protested
it would not benefit them, or facili
=tate the payment. you may
exercise your discretion whether
or not to have it protested. I certainly
would prefer it not to lay
over. and if the Messrs. Keerls are
alarmed, with the disappointment
I must, & will give them Security,
I have no other way to depend on,
to raise money at this time, but collection
and I am disappointed Myself - and
