Dr. Sir

Mrs. Selden was taken last night about
11 O'Clock with fever and headach both of which [are] very
distressing. She applied the blister and on taking a
dose of the medicine in the Vial puked up two or three
mouthsfull of pure bile. Concerning the subject of
which you were inquiring of me I have understood there
is no positive assurance [o]f its being the case but there
exists occasionaly some se[n]sations and pains that
never were experienced before, - She wishes you would
ride over this morning and see her and if possible pro
=duce some relief as she suffers much from pain and esc
=austion - I feel clear of fever myself and am much
better but the pill has not opperated any hardly and am
afraid I shall have to take the Salts which I regret.

I am Dr. Sr.

Yrs. Sincerely

Cary Selden
