Dear Doctor
I have had no fever since you left
me until Thursday last - when I had a slight
chill succee [d] ed by fever & profuse perspiration
the next day felt tolerably well but saturday
had a return of chill & fever more severe then
the first, will thank you to send me
whatever medison you may think proper
I am very week & poor. The bark disagrees
so much with my bowels that I cannot
take it. my hand trembles so much I fear
you will hardly be able to read what I have
written you, in hast your friend
