Doctor Carmichal & son
Gentlemen
yr esteemed favor of the
2 came duly [to hand] you will please receive
the debt proceeds of the acct against
Chesley &Co. of Mr. Briggs and remit
it to us by mailyour Very Obliged
G H & J S Keerl
P. S. Mr Middleton has written several
times during the absence of our GHK (who
only returned home to day) requesting not to be sued
he wants time - we make it a rule after
an acct is put in the hands of an attorny
not to interefere with him unless he neglects
his business - we want this acct. put on a safe
footing - which we presume you have explaind
opened by G H & J S K
-
to Mr Goodwin - we have this day written to
H. O. M and refered him to the attorney --
We stated to them some time ago that if
they gave you undoubted security you would
give time - without they cant do that
The claim can be made no better by waiting
and we suppose - the sooner the Judgement is
obtained the better -
Yours respectfully
Geo H & J S Keerl
Unless Middletons have something substantial
to offer we hope their writing will not
stop proceedings against them -
