Dear Sir,

My Wife has had considerable
fever since 3 oclock yesterday, it continued
throughout the night. this morning however
Her fever is not quite as high. It is not
through any imprudence at all for she has
been particularly cautious. The day before
yesterday was the first time that she has
been out of bed. She has t [a]ke [n] the Castor
Oil agreeably to your directions & yesterd
=ay Evening I gave Her a second dose, which
operated well. If you think it necessary
will you be good Enough to send Her some
cooling medicine, and a small phial of
Volatile Linament she complains of t
soarness of Her brest.

Yrs verry Sincerely

Wm Beverley
